5th International Stem Cell School in Regenerative Medicine
From October 20th – 26th 2008, the University of Rostock hosted more then hundred international guests and several reputated lecturers during the 5th International Stem Cell School in Regenerative Medicine.
Not only the high scientific level marked by the top quality
talks but also the inspiring and congenial atmosphere created by all
the young
international scientists who intensely exchanged their ideas during
this
meeting, led to an overwhelming positive feedback from most
participants. Besides the talks and scientific discussions, the young
researchers had the opportunity to present their work and data to the conference
audience.

The conference showed that stem cells have a huge potential for regenerative medicine. Also it showed that the interdisciplinary approach implemented by the organization comittee focusing on international interaction and discussion has been successful.
The hands-on course in Rostock has been performed in cooperation with the Institute of Anatomy (Prof. Andreas Wree, Dr. Jana Müller) and proved to be a valuable interaction platform for young researchers.
The positive feedback from young researchers underlines that
this conference has an great impact on tomorrow’s top researchers in the field
of stem cells and their application.
